This is just to keep everyone updated about the chapter news from Hyderabad. We recently (on 4th July) had our informal get together at Police Officers Mess. Certain events like games were organized by the Ladies club. We also printed the phone directory and distributed to everyone."

'Innovation is the Key' says Shri Shailendra Joshi, Roorkee-1981, IAS - 1984
|
|
Shri Joshi graduated from Roorkee in 1981 from E&C department. He pursued Masters at IIT-Delhi in Communications engineering during 1981-1983 and soon after joined the IAS. Currently he serves as Secretary to Andhra Pradesh Government for the IT and Communications department.
Recently Sridhar Gopaluni (SG) had an opportunity to meet with Shri Shailendra Joshi (SKJ) in Hyderabad. Here’s an excerpt from the conversation:

We are pleased to introduce to you IIT-Roorkee Alumni Association (Hyderabad Chapter). The Alumni Chapter has been active and in existence for many years. Currently, in Hyderabad, we have around forty very active members.
The association has in past organized Alumni get-together’s, cultural programs by Alumni’s Children, recreational outings and festive celebrations. The chapter recently participated in the world wide meeting of Roorkee Alumni held at New-Delhi on January 2nd 2005.
