Informal Get Together was a great!

This is just to keep everyone updated about the chapter news from Hyderabad. We recently (on 4th July) had our informal get together at Police Officers Mess. Certain events like games were organized by the Ladies club. We also printed the phone directory and distributed to everyone.
We had a fabulous informal gathering, one of the biggest one so far. Our registration data shows approximately 120 participants, with 62 Thomsonians (list attached), and more than 50% i.e. 34 showed with their families. An outstanding participation from families.
Our current strength has gone up to 300. Great work by the orgnazing team and members for keeping the information up to date.
Out initial plan was to have the drinks and events in the Green Open Lawn below, followed by Dinner at the 1st Floor dinning room. But as the nature had its way, for the overall good of the country, as soon as the rains started, we had to move to the dinner area for all the activities, and in the process lost lot of time. Would like to apologize that we could not have the regular Introduction session batchwise.
Now a special vote of thanks to the organizers, people who made it all happen.
1. R. P. Singh for helping us arranging the Police Officers Mess.
2. Mrs. Rajni Kant, and Mrs. Shelly Goyal with the events.
3. Ashutosh, Ankit, Shrey and Arpit for ensuring that we are financially viable by collecting the money, taking missing details, and our pictures. We should shortly see an email on the pictures of the meet.
4. Piyush Jain, and Vinod for ensuring that our bar counter does not go dry.
5. Sandeep for doing the last minute run up for all the activities, and also arranging the DJ. It would have been an awesome party in the lawns, but rain god had different plans for us.
6. Directory Updates, and ensuring that we have awareness as much as possible about IITR chapter and its activities. Special thanks to Sandeep, Ashutosh and their team.
7. Ravi Kant, Amit Goyal, Urvesh Goyal, and Ritesh for ensuring that we have all the pieces in place for the event.
We had initally planned the IIT-R T-shirt, and would like to again apologize that we could not make it happen. Hopefully we should be able to provide at the next event or may be before that.
Again, great event, and thanks to all who participated, the volunteers, the silent contributors, and the people who participated in the spirit.
