IIT Roorkee Heritage Fund - Launched!

Dear Roorkeeites,
On behalf of Roorkee Alumni Association of North America, I am proud to announce the birth of IIT Roorkee Heritage Fund.
July 7th, 2007 marked a historical moment for IIT Roorkee and Roorkee Alumni Association. On this auspicious day of 07/07/07, we successfully launched this Heritage Fund in the presence of IIT Director, Dr. S. C. Saxena and Roorkee Alums attending Pan IIT 2007 conference in Silicon Valley.
The initiative for this fund was discussed by founding members at Roorkee Alumni's conference held in Las Vegas on October 1, 2006. Subsequently, several passionate alumni contributed through conference calls, assigned homework, and information gathering to shape the "IIT-Roorkee Heritage Fund" charter. The vision and mission of the fund would be refined as our foundation grows and more resources are tapped. A copy of the " Cash Donation Form" and "Stock Donation Form" are also attached for the interested donors. All donations to this fund are US tax deductible.
I want to express my sincere thanks to these founding members (in alphabetical order) for playing an instrumental role in launching IIT-Roorkee Heritage Fund:

All Alumni donating $1,000 or more will be recognized on the IIT-Roorkee Heritage Brochure. However, donations will be appreciated in any amount no matter how small it is.
During the next conference call of the founding members, we will elect
(1) Elect President (CEO), Treasurer (CFO), and Secy (COO)
(2) Elect Board of Governors
Subsequent programs and guidelines will be set-up under working committees. I request you to offer your guidance and resources. Please keep the creative ideas floating and write to me about your interest and vision for a program that you see fit in the charter of IIT-R Heritage fund.
