About
Gopaluni
Sridhar (GOPS) works for Deloitte Consulting in California.
He provides guidance to technology clients in various Business
Transformation Engagements such as Mergers, Acquisitions &
Divestitures. This involves design of new business process to support a
growing business, improve efficiencies leveraging technology leading to
significant creation of business value in a short time. Primary focus
is on the Service industry for technology clients right from Prospect
stage of a customer, Sales, Order Management, Logistics through Revenue
recognition. He works closely with client Business and IT Country managers. Some of the past clients include: Agilent, Verigy, Brocade, McData, Quantum, ADIC, State of California etc.,
Gops enjoys both business and technology. Prior to joining Deloitte Consulting,
Gops worked as a Software Engineer for a wireless startup firm in
Arizona (writing applications for wireless devices) and as a Business
Solutions Consultant for a Fortune-500 firm he worked with
customers, developers, and marketing teams to build new products.
Awards
Gops graduated with Honors from Indian Institute of Technology
- Roorkee. He is a recipient of the prestigious Fellowship from Indian
Academy of Sciences awarded to the Top students in the country
(only 8 in the year 1998) in Engineering and Sciences every
year. Other honors include:
- Graduate Student of the Year Award from Corporate Leaders
Program (CLP), ASU.
- Gold Medal for Bachelor Thesis.
- Scholarship for the entire period of study at IIT - Roorkee.
- Scholarships and Leadership positions in student governments.
- Invitations from Alpha Pi Mu and Gamma Beta Phi Honorary Societies.
- Mathematical Olympiad, State Science Talent Search Awards, Awards in District Science Fairs etc.,
- Winner of the Deloitte's National Innovation & Eminence Contest
Gopaluni represented Arizona State University (ASU) twice at the Global Tech Leaders Symposium
held in NewZealand and Australia, one of which
earned him a honorary dinner with Helen Clark, the Prime
Minister of NewZealand. He was also President of the ASU Corporate
Leaders Association (ACLA) and Vice President ASU
Technology Venture Club (TVC).
Leadership
Gopaluni serves as Committee Lead on Deloitte's National Center of Excellence where he builds partner relationships with Oracle Corporation.
Gopaluni was hand-picked by senior management to serve on the Deloitte Managing Directors Advisory Committee (MDAC) to research and advice senior management on operational issues in the firm. Other responsibilities include:
Board Member of IIT Roorkee Alumni Association of North America and
Corporate Leaders Program Advisory Council, Arizona State University.
He is also involved in setting up a National Center of Excellence at
Deloitte. Other activities include recruitment at Arizona State
University (ASU) and University of Southern California (USC).
Gopaluni
worked extensively with various non-profit organizations like United
Way, YWCA, Valley Big Brothers Big Sisters, Mesa Community Action
Network in US & New Zealand. He is also involved in helping
non-profit organizations in India.
As Founder of an ambitious worldwide initiative called
RoorkeeInc he
works with IIT - Roorkee Alumni from all over the world to build a
world-class network. The initiative was widely appreciated and received
support from more than 2500 alumni worldwide.
